Q & A: New To Cigars?

Q.
I'm a new cigar enthusiast, so what should I try first?

For your first few cigars, we recommend going with a mellow blend such as Macanudo Cafe or Rocky Patel Connecticut. You'll want to stick with a Connecticut wrapper at first, simply to prime your palate. If you try a mild Connecticut and find it doesn't satisfy you, move to a mellow maduro such as Gurkha Doble Maduro, La Estrella Cubana, or Nica Libre. Don't be intimidated by a dark maduro wrapper as that does not denote strength. As you familiarize yourself with the different flavors and nuances you find in these cigars, you'll be able to make an educated decision as to what sort of flavor profile you prefer.

Moving forward, be sure to pick up some strong, yet well-balanced cigars such as Man O' War Ruination, La Herencia Cubana Core, or Cain, just for good measure. You'll be surprised at how much you'll enjoy a full-bodied blend once your used to the art of cigar enjoyment, especially if you love to light up after dinner.
