This month we chose five premiums born for specific experiences, shining the spotlight on the who, what, when, where, and why.

 

The Aganorsa Leaf Connecticut will single-handedly change your impression of a Shade-wrapped cigar. Their team of Cuban agronomists created an assertive yet old-school flavor profile that pairs as well with coffee as it does cognac. Buffalo Trace is a collaboration between General Cigar and Sazerac, and this iconic 2021 release was blended to pair specifically with its bourbon namesake. With so much focus on AJ Fernandez the cigar maker, with Días de Gloria, you experience him as a proud farmer showcasing what some might argue is his true passion. Created by Master Blender Rick Rodriguez, his mantra for CAO Session is written on the secondary band with “Sit,” “Smoke,” and “Chill” – and you should do just that when enjoying it. Released in 2020, H. Upmann 1844 Añejo was named Añejo (‘aged’) by because the tobaccos have at least five years of age, proving that good things take time.
