Cigar of the Month Club Video Review: June 2023

As we near the official beginning of summer, everything is reborn: grass, flowers, fruits, vegetables, herbs, etc. Tobacco fields worldwide yield harvests that take inspiration from local crops, flora, and fauna, and this is arguably the best way a good cigar can stimulate the senses. This month we’ve chosen five outstanding examples which in total represent 12 different countries – the ultimate gustatory adventure.

’94’ rated, La Aroma de Cuba Reserva is a bold landscape of well-aged tobaccos encased in a supremely fermented San Andrés Oscuro wrapper. Another dimension of the brand rebirthing old Cuba in modern-day Nicaragua. The Joya de Nicaragua Antaño Gran Reserva showcases a new vitola to mark Antaño’s 20th anniversary, reworking a legendary profile to create a more mature expression of terroir. Released earlier this year, Graycliff West Hill St. pays homage to the legendary Bahamian resort and its esteemed cigar factory. Avo Syncro Ritmo – ritmo meaning “rhythm” in Spanish – takes inspiration from unique South American soils where some of the tobaccos have been harvested. La Gloria Cubana Medio Tiempo is named for the occurrence of medio tiempo on the tobacco plant when two additional leaves sprout above the highest priming.
