Cigar of the Month Club Video Review: July 2023

Inspired by terroir, cultural expression, the pursuit of perfection, or shared traditions, this month’s selection confirms that premium cigars are an art form – a medium which embraces the future without forgoing its past.

A follow-up to the brand’s #1 Cigar of 2011, each ‘91’ rated Alec Bradley Prensado Lost Art is impressively complex and indulgent. It pays homage to handmade goods that take true artistry, something the premium cigar industry continues to do with pride. The Azulejo of Laranja Reserva Azulejo is inspired by 13th century Portuguese tilework introduced by the Moors. The Oliva family wanted to make use of cherished crops previously squirreled away for private use, and with that spurred limited-production releases like Master Blends III. Punch Gran Puro is a love letter to Honduras, appearing multiple times on Cigar Aficionado’s Top 25 Lists for its high quality and consistent delivery. A popular Cuban cigar rolled in Ybor City adjacent to J.C. Newman’s El Reloj factory, today, Perla del Mar Maduro is made by the Newmans, honoring the brand’s historic legacy and ties to their headquarters in Florida.
