Wrapped in a rare and unique African Sun Grown leaf.
After a hiatus from the cigar business that lasted several years, Sam Leccia is back and better than ever. His Leccia Tobacco Company's initial offerings include Leccia Black, which is being made at a small factory in the Dominican, and Leccia White, which hails from Nicaragua.
With flawless construction and forceful flavor, Leccia White is the perfect counterpart to its predecessor. Delivered to you in a glossy white box, this powerhouse cigar features an African Sun Grown wrapper expertly woven around an Ecuadorian binder. The filler is comprised of Nicaraguan Ligero and Seco leaves from Pennsylvania, which also happens to be Sam Leccia's home state, for a truly unique balance of power, spice, sweetness, and earthy nuances. After lighting, hints of cedar, leather and pepper are revealed that blossom into creamy coffee and cashews. Say yes at your palate's behest to the charismatic and crave-worthy Leccia White.
An excellent all-around cigar with flawless construction, uniform burn and effortless draw. I rate the strength of flavor at about medium, but the smoke has perfect body and mouth feel; never thin. I usually don't comment on flavor since it is so subjective. But I notice a definite note of raisins (!) and a hint of coffee. Good for your first cigar in the morning. I am on my third box and hope they don't discontinue this as they did Leccia Black.
