The maduro version of the best-selling Perdomo brand…In 2000, Nick Perdomo planted an experimental crop of tobacco on a small plot of land appropriately named Lot 23. It is here that the golden tobacco leaves of Lot 23 were harvested for extended fermentation. When the tobacco was ready for blending, Nick was shocked to find the cigar did not blend well with foreign tobaccos, but rather was ideal when blended with tobacco from the same field.Armed with a dark, thick Broadleaf maduro, Perdomo Lot 23 Maduro delivers with a hearty and rich Nicaraguan blend. The cigar packs the same—and highly limited—tobaccos of the famed Lot 23. Notes of almonds, black pepper, and espresso coat that palate a form a highly balanced medium-bodied cigar that any enthusiast will be eager to enjoy.
One of the first "real" cigars I ever smoked. Lots of pepper, from first draw to last. Several Lot 23s have required lots of touch-ups, but I still enjoy the overall experience. Beautiful wrapper, no matter what one you get. Wouldn't be my favorite everyday smoke, but nice to have on occasion.
