Taste the color red with a new Pi Synesthesia.

A year after the original Pi Synesthesia made its release, Ozgener Family Cigars has created the Pi Synesthesia Red. The name references an art series created by the late Cano Ozgener, the father of Tim Ozgener. Cano Ozgener is best known to cigar smokers as the founder of CAO, but after selling CAO, he created OZ Arts, a Nashville-based art institute that occupies the old CAO headquarters.

Red comes in a single 6.0"x52 Toro vitola rolled at Ernesto Perez-Carrillo's Tabacalera La Alianza in the Dominican Republic. With its Ecuador Sumatra wrapper atop a Nicaraguan binder and long-fillers, Tim Ozgener told Cigar Aficionado he wanted these limited-edition premiums to taste like the color red, i.e. exuding spices or peppery nuances. A basic definition of synesthesia is experiencing one sense via another: while it's more commonly associated with hearing music and seeing colors, as a second-generation cigar maker, Ozgener has chosen to create cigar blends which typify the perceived taste profile of a specific color.
