'The Jewel' of the My Father portfolio. My Father Le Bijou features a brilliant looking Ecuadorian-grown Habano Oscuro wrapper that encapsulates a mix of Nicaraguan long-leaf tobaccos for a full-bodied and rich experience that will leave your palate salivating for more. All cigars produced at Tabacalera My Father incorporate traditional Cuban characteristics, from the entubado style bunching (folding the filler tobaccos in an accordion fashion) to the triple caps used at the head of each cigar. These traditional Cuban methods enable the cigars to burn and combust perfectly which, in turn, creates intense amounts of complexity followed by a smooth and enjoyably long finish. If you enjoy spicy, full-bodied cigars then you should give Le Bijou a try as it is masterfully balanced. Expect long notes of pepper and spice with underlying earthy, cedar sensations all masked with light hints of sweetness. The rich and dark Habano Oscuro wrapper creates an excellent aroma with enjoyable flavors of coffee and espresso noticeable on the finish.#1 Cigar of 2015 - '97' Rated by Cigar Aficionado
Smoked both Toro and Petite Robusto. All age well and have a full taste, with dark chocolate, coffee and perhaps a bit of molasses. Spice too but it doesn't bite back. Strength is good but not overwhelming. I prefer with an aged rum or bourbon to add some sweetness. Very nice.
I got these on a deal special and fired one up. Let Me tell ya these Cigars are Awesome. Very thick meaty and flavorful smoke engulfs Your palete. diffenately on my top five list of Best Cigars ever. I didn't want it to end.
Received one as a cigar of the month member. Construction was flawless as was the draw. Burn was a little uneven however required no touching up. Complex flavors with hints of coffee and chocolate and never became bitter even right down to the nub. I have since purchased a box and this is a regular cigar in my rotation.
I have recently gotten back into smoking cigars, and have eased back in with a lot of CT wrappers. This cigar was my first initial step back into the darker wrappers. I have always had mixed results with darker wrappers as some are very enjoyable, and some can peel bark off of trees. This cigar, is amazing! I can not explain to you how smooth this cigar was. It was such a pleasure to smoke, I have started saving all of my spare change to get a box. The coffee and molasses flavors lasted throughout, and I can not remark enough about the craftsmanship. This is a beautiful cigar, and I urge you to give it a go if you haven't already.
