A hearty, rich, maduro version of the classic...
Calling all fans of La Herencia Cubana, if you've been searching for a similar blend that offers more robust flavors in a full-bodied presentation, then feast on some Oscuro Fuertes - you won't be disappointed.
Produced in the same factory as Man O' War Ruination, San Lotano Oval, and New World, La Herencia Cubana CORE is one of the best, pseudo-hidden gems from master blender AJ Fernandez. The name itself means “Cuban heritage” and for good reason: the blend is similar in flavor and complexity to those originating from Cuba's glory days.
Although it contains similar tobaccos to those found in its Original counterpart, a robust yet smooth concoction of Nicaraguan tobaccos grown in Esteli, Condega and Jalapa, the blend stands out due to its oily broadleaf maduro wrapper grown in Pennsylvania. The combination creates a ton of sweet characters masked by earth, pepper, spice and cedar with a phenomenal finish that leaves espresso and cocoa on the palate. The blend slowly builds in strength from start to finish but still remains perfectly balanced. A must-try for all AJ Fernandez fans.
NOTE: La Herencia Cubana Oscuro Fuerte has recently undergone a packaging update. Upon ordering, you may receive either the old packing or the new packaging due to the mixed inventory we currently have available. Please be advised that these are still the same cigars you love, just the bands and boxes have changed.
Another full bodied/full flavored winner from the master blending skills of AJ Fernandez. When you consider the price, La Herencia Cubana Oscuro Fuerte Toro is one of the top maduro blends available. Absolutely addictive! 93/100
These cigars are a shining example of how the price does not necessarily determine the quality of the cigar. $5 for a toro? That's pretty dang cheap for the great flavor and consistency you get from this stick. It has a great pepper taste that mellows into some earthiness and oak. Definitely a great cocoa/chocolate flavor in there as well. It has a distinctive sweetness to it that seems to be due to the Pennsylvania broadleaf maduro wrapper. I may be biased, because I love that wrapper, but I'd highly recommend this cigar, especially at this price point.
Very spicy. Interesting and unique.
