E.P. Carrillo’s 1st Oscuro & 4th overall cigar of 2016.
E.P. Carrillo has established himself as a true artist with the tobacco leaf with a long list of top rated brands under his belt including La Gloria Cubana, Dark Rituals, and Cigar Aficionado’s #2 cigar of 2014—La Historia. Continuing the trend of rich, flavorful cigars is his latest release, E.P. Carrillo Seleccion Oscuro.
The first cigar in the brand’s portfolio to use a San Andres Oscuro wrapper, the blend is completed with an Ecuadoran binder and Nicaraguan long-leaves for a medium to full-bodied cigar with a complex flavor profile. Seleccion Oscuro is perfectly constructed with an even burn and exudes notes of pepper, spice, cedar with some sweetness on the finish. This is a very enjoyable experience, and is a prime example of a master at the top of his game.
