For the 2020 'Special 53,' the blend is that of a Dominican puro rolled in the same 6.1"x53 Perfecto vitola used for the original release. A 10-year-aged wrapper, eight-year-aged San Vicente Seco binder, and a long-filler blend of San Vicente Seco, Piloto Ligero, and Olor Seco each aged over six years all began with work starting in the 1990s.  Head Agronomist Manuel Peralta and Master Blender Henke Kelner came together to create hybrid seeds to enable the  growth of a Dominican wrapper worthy of the Davidoff name; featuring indulgent notes of earth, cedar, coffee bean, and cream balanced by both spice and sweetness, the 2020 LE release showcases a unique floral quality unlike any other cigar released by the illustrious company.
