Celebrating 90 miles to freedom.
It's a cigar that's meant to invoke a sense of nostalgia. As the tagline for this blend states, it's a distance so near, and yet so far—referring, of course, to the measure of miles between the United States and Cuba, and of the maker's flight to freedom.
Flor de Gonzales started in 1993 in Cuba, and moved production to Florida following the rise of the communist regime. Consistently ranked among the top cigar producers in the industry, this manufacturer has enjoyed much success in the U.S. market. Now, most of the production comes from Nicaragua, with a small number of cigars still coming out of Miami. Company founder Arnaldo Gonzalez still runs the whole operation, and has been teaching his youngest daughter, Yadi, all the ins and outs of cigar making.
90 Miles celebrates America, and the freedoms associated with it. Utilizing a mix of different tobaccos from various growing regions of Nicaragua, this medium to full-bodied option boasts both complex flavors and an intoxicating aroma. The reddish-hued Habano Rosado wrapper leaf sets the stage, while the long-filler Nicaraguan core offers up ample notes of earth, pepper, and creamy nuances. This is as full-flavored as they come. Enjoy a fitting tribute to the U.S.A. and celebrate your pride with 90 Miles.
