Saint Luis Rey Carenas gains inspiration from Puerto Carenas in the Port of Havana, Cuba. This historic 16th-century port was important in many ways to the West Indies, one of which was serving as a place to repair, or carenar, the ships that docked there. Puerto Carenas was also the departure port for many important exports, including the tobacco leaves sent to the first cigar factory in Seville, Spain.
