Named the 5th best cigar in the world by Cigar Aficionado in 2006, Carlos Torano Exodus Gold is still currently ranked among the best of the best in the industry, and for good reason.
The Torano Family has been a part of the tobacco industry for generations, opening their first factory in 1916. Since then, the demand for Torano cigars has grown exponentially, as they have established themselves in every major cigar producing country in Central America. Due to their incredible reputation for quality and their experience in the industry (four generations), the Torano Family not only produces their own line of premium cigars, but they have been approached by other manufacturers, such as CAO, Alec Bradley, and Gurkha to assist with their cigar production as well.
Torano Exodus Gold was created in memory of all the Cuban cigar families who fled Cuba in 1959 due to the Communist revolt. It sports a toothy, oily, Habana 2000 wrapper that conceals a Honduran binder and a mix of Dominican, Honduran, Nicaraguan, Mexican and Costa Rican tobaccos. Together, these leaves create an incredible complexity, offering cocoa-like flavors, hints of pepper and a smooth, yet semi-robust, finish. Medium to full-bodied, Torano Exodus 1959 Gold is a must try for all enthusiasts.

One of the first cigars I ever enjoyed and I remember the experience like it was yesterday. Box-pressed, this thing looks like a chocolate bar and it doesn’t taste that much different. This rich, exciting blend of diverse tobaccos serves to commemorate the Exodus of expert Cuban cigar families and their impact on the industry following nationalization in 1959.
