Meaning “Pearl of the Sea,” Perla del Mar has certainly been a captivating catch in the net of J.C. Newman impressive portfolio. Originally an old Cuban brand, Perla del Mar now calls Nicaraguan home, made at the same top-notch Tabacalera that produces Brick House and El Baton among others. With the success reeled in right from the start, it’s no surprise a darker counterpart soon followed suit.

Perla del Mar Maduro features a dark Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper around a recipe of all-Nicaraguan long leaves. This medium to full-bodied morsel delivers spicy notes of coffee beans, cedar, and dark chocolate. Rich but smooth throughout, you'll find the finish quite creamy compared to most comparable Maduro blends.
