HVC Cigars is expanding upon their popular Hot Cake blend with Golden Line, a PCA 2023 release which has been rolled at the boutique brand’s factory in Estelí. Available in four vitolas, Hot Cake Golden Line features an Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper, Nicaraguan binder, and a blend of long-fillers from Estelí and Jalapa.
Fans of the original Hot Cake will enjoy the added complexity provided by the change in wrapper leaf, which in this iteration highlights the cedar, cocoa, and leather notes that previously served a secondary role. In fact, when Cuban-born brand owner Reinier Lorenzo selected the Shade-Grown leaf, he created a noticeably smoother and richer flavor profile unique to Hot Cake Golden Line alone.
