Foundation Cigar Co. was born out of a strong love for home. Founder Nick Melillo was brought up in Connecticut, where he developed a love affair with tobaccos grown in the Connecticut River Valley. Foundation’s latest blend pays homage to Melillo’s roots with not only the tobaccos used in it but also its name.

Charter Oak refers to a historic tree is where Native Americans congregated and also cultivated tobacco nearby. The premium cigar also honors his grandfather, a WWII veteran who enjoyed cigars made exclusively with Connecticut Broadleaf Tobacco. Masked with a Connecticut Shade Wrapper and brimming with Nicaraguan fillers, this cigar boasts bountiful and creamy notes of leather, slight notes of black pepper, and a smooth silk finish.
