Macanudo Estate Reserve Flint Knoll No.3
Elegant, Wine-Barrel Aged Tobacco
For the third release in its collaboration with Flint Knoll Winery, Macanudo Estate Reserve Flint Knoll No.3 brings Napa Valley character straight into the humidor. Tobacco for this cigar is aged in the prestigious French Oak barrels that produced Flint Knoll’s award‑winning 2021 Royal Appointment Cabernet Sauvignon, a vintage shaped by a lack of rain and lower temperatures that made 2021 a special year for Napa Valley wine. The blend features an Ecuadorian Connecticut Shade wrapper over a Connecticut Broadleaf binder, with a filler core of Brazilian Mata Fina, Dominican Olor, Nicaraguan Jalapa and Dominican Piloto Cubano, coming together in a medium bodied profile crafted for balance and nuance.
The flavor is refined and quietly complex, with notes of cedar, vanilla and nuts that echo the elegance of the wine barrels used in aging. According to Flint Knoll founder Aaron Michaelis, you can taste the subtleties of that ultra‑rare vintage in the tobaccos themselves, giving this Churchill‑sized release a distinct sense of place. Macanudo Estate Reserve Flint Knoll No.3 is made for slow, thoughtful pairings with bold wines, Scotch, whiskey, coffee, Port or Cognac.
