A “Desflorado,” or an Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper leaf, stars in the thrilling experience that is the Man O’ War Valkyrie. Fernandez controls the tobacco growing process himself, removing the upper portion of the plant, which allows for rich nutrients and UV rays to be absorbed into the leaves. This amounts to an incredible combination of coffee, cedar, pepper and cream notes that flood the palate. A mellow cigar, but Man O’ War Valkyrie still delivers striking flavor.
