La Aurora is the Dominican Republic's oldest brand and is rolled at the country's oldest factory. Made in limited quantities, the Preferidos is one of the best-selling super premiums made in the Dominican Republic. Available in an assortment of wrappers, the cigar has gained worldwide recognition for its quality, consistency, and flavor. Manufactured in the same way that the company has traditionally done since its start in 1903, these cigars are constructed with the best selection of leaves that are aged for five years, four years curing and maturing, and an additional year aging in barrels of rum. Coming out of a decadent ruby red tube, the Preferidos Ruby consists of an Arapiraca-seed tobacco wrapper from Brazil and a Dominican binder with Brazilian, Cameroonian, and Dominican fillers. Notes of coffee, cedar with a bitter creaminess give this cigar a complex, but balanced smoking experience. A smoke to remember to say the least.
