Sublimes cigars were never intended to be a widely available blend. Starting off in the Little Havana section of Miami in 2004, word quickly spread about this local, hand-rolled premium and soon they weren’t able to keep up. To meet the rising demand, production was eventually moved to Tabacalera Fernandez in Esteli, Nicaragua where it remains today.
Sublimes come enveloped in a sultry Ecuador Habano Rosado-Oscuro wrapper hugging a hearty Honduran and Nicaraguan long-leaf blend. This cigar is medium-bodied and pack a full myriad of flavors including nougat, caramel, vanilla, baking spices, and subtle pepper. Sublimes was recently given a ‘93’ rating and Humidor Selection honors.
#25 Cigar of 2015 - '93' Rated by Cigar Aficionado
This was a CA cigar of the year a couple of years ago. I’m on my third box as it has become a staple in my humidor and my “go-to” for a leisurely smoke. Rich and buttery, bold but refined, and I’ve not had one blemish or poorly constructed stick yet. They are, in a word, sublime!
