Stock up on Rocky's best-sellers the smart way!
Rocky's Vintage line is among the most popular in the world. Its success is largely a result of the quality control that goes into rolling each and every one of these cigars. As you can imagine, for a perfectionist like Patel, not all make the grade. Enter Vintage 2nds, arguably the best value available on premium handmades today.
These '2nds' are the SAME cigars as the full-priced '1sts' but, due to cosmetic blemishes and/or wrapper coloration discrepancies, they are separated at the factory and bundled up sans bands or boxes. Without the added cost of packaging and pomp, we're able to sell Vintage 2nds at a sizable discount. Choose from the dark and decadent 1990, the bright, bold 1992, and the smooth Shade-wrapped 1999. Whatever you select, you're getting super-premium performance for pennies on the dollar.
Vintage 1990 Broadleaf Maduro: Medium-bodied, these crowd-pleasers exude stout but slightly sweet flavors of dark chocolate, caramelized nougat, and roasted nuts. An all-time favorite and perennial best-seller, the blend sends off clouds of dense, chewy smoke. Rated '92', it's smooth and balanced down to the nub.
Vintage 1992 Sumatra: Medium to full-bodied and very robust. The complex aroma compliments the blend's tasting notes - cashew, coffee, and fruit with enough spice on the finish to please any enthusiast who prefers cigars on the fuller side.
Vintage 1999 Connecticut Shade: Mellow to medium, this elegant, golden-wrapped blend boasts big flavors and a creamy character that will impress!Stock up on two of Rocky's best-selling blends.
RP 1990 Churchills are one of my top 5 favorite sticks. I have bought several mazos of these seconds. With the exception of one that had a poor draw and another that had a poor burn, the others have been just as good as the firsts - just no band. I don't know about you, but I don't smoke the bands anyway.Sometimes there are minor wrapper flaws that make them a bit less pretty, but this hasn't really been an issue with the smoke. This is a fine cigar and exceptional for the price. My humidor is never without some of these.
These cigars have all the same qualities as the firsts with the exception of a label, wooden box and price tag!!! They are a great buy for the price. I have ordered several bundles and I havent had a bad one yet!!! They all burn, taste, and draw just like the firsts. The only diffrence I noticed was the wrapper color. I've noticed that the leaf may vary in color from a little darker to a little lighter. Where as the firsts look like picture perfect chocolate candy sticks lined up neatly in my humidor. If you are looking for a great value and a great cigar give em a try.
Awesome Cigar! Perfectly rolled, slow even burn, Tight white ash & Thick rich smoke from every draw. Toasty & earthy aroma engulfes your sences. A leathery, woodsy, nutty taste with a short smooth finish lefy me wishing I got the toros..It smoked until my fingers got burnt, with no kaka taste at all!!! Didnt notice any defects or blems in the wrapper It just didnt have a label... Overall this is prolly one of the best cigars I had has and i would definetely reccomend it to anyone!Just ordered another 2 bundles.. My rating 99
These are smooth and mild. Not harsh but has a wonderful flavor!
In my opinion, you cannot go wrong with these sticks. They are 30% off the regular price of the '90 maduro robusto but the only observable difference is the lack of a label on the cigar. I can never see any cosmetic defects in them. I've ordered the bundle numerous times and they are quite consistant. Great aroma, burns evenly, and a really smooth smoke. I like 'em with a cup of coffee. And they are better than most of the $7 and up cigars I've smoked. If you don't mind not having a label, there's no reason not to get some of these.
