The full-bodied Punch you've been waiting for!The gloves are off and Bareknuckle is hitting you with everything it has!
Punch is one of the most famous brand names in cigars, originating in 19th century Cuba. Punch lovers can expect a consistent experience cigar to cigar, which has made it an everyday favorite for many. The strong full-flavored taste of a Punch cigar is unmistakable, and the multi-country blend makes it nearly impossible to replicate. With the long, storied tradition of Punch, Bareknuckle is a welcome addition with a blend that is sure to stand the test of time.
Punch has always had the reputation as making of the strongest cigars available, however, with the onslaught of potent blends that have hit the market recently, this reputation has subsided a bit. As the name implies, Bareknuckle hits hard with a potent blend of Honduran and Nicaraguan tobaccos, all encased with a dark, shiny Ecuadorian Habano Sun Grown wrapper. The components of the cigar work in unison to emit powerful flavors of espresso, spice, and cedar that produces a long, concise finish that will have you relishing each puff.
I enjoy bold, flavorful cigars and usually keep Opus X on hand as my favorite smoke; however, Punch's Bareknuckle is a very affordable cigar for comparable kick and boldness. This has become my regular cigar to keep on hand.
35 years ago I smoked my 1st real cigar, a Punch Rothschild & I have been hooked ever since. Sure the years have mellowed the old lady, so it stands to reason that Punch might want to spruce up the line a bit, to keep pace with the myriad of companies offering staggeringly bold blends in recent years. Many of them excellent in their own rights. Enter Bareknuckle. From the 1st puff I knew I was smoking a Punch. The flavor profile is unmistakable. But at the same time, I realize there is a plethora of spice & white pepper that mask the leather & oak I taste as I retrohale. That's something new. It's on the full side of medium, exactly where my preferences lie. I bought a box of Rothschildes, 10 Mini Belicosos & got a few Pitas in some sampler. All sizes are delicious, the Mini Belicoso quickly becoming my new favorite size. Since I am down to 1 Toro & 3 Rothschildes, I am looking to nab some more. I rate the Rothschild 89/100 & the Mini Belicoso 90/100. You can always be sure of a perfect construction, burn & unwavering consistency when you buy Punch. Bareknuckle is just the latest example.
