A true gem from the folks at J.C. Newman.
Perla del Mar is a unique addition to the J.C. Newman portfolio. Eric Newman was originally attracted to the brand because of the beautiful artwork on the label, which spoke to his love of cigar label art in general. Originally a Cuban brand, Perla del Mar literally means "Pearl of the Sea." Story has it that early explorers who landed in Cuba quickly discovered a golden leaf, which they dubbed Perla del Mar, and from this tale a premium cigar company was born. The relaunch of the traditional brand hails from the same boutique factory that produces top-quality Brick House and El Baton cigars.
This is a box-pressed Nicaraguan handmade, comprised of 100% Nicaraguan long-filler tobacco leaves from three distinct growing regions. On the outside, a silky Ecuador Connecticut wrapper pays homage to the name with a gorgeous, golden brown leaf. The flavors are refreshing yet complex, with a smooth and creamy experience all the way through. Discover for yourself the magic of Perla del Mar.
Expert Picks: Hip to be Squared
A gorgeous offering from JC Newman. Perla del Mar’s golden brown wrapper is pristine. An Ecuadorian Connecticut leaf masks long-fillers from three growing regions in Nicaragua, bringing about decadent notes of cedar, caramel, and cream. Without a doubt, Perla del Mar is one of my favorite mellow-bodied cigars.
