How many times have you’ve gone to order a cigar but found it out of stock and discontinued? The cigar industry can be a tough place. Whether it’s through politics, bad weather, poor designs, or whatever problems you can think of, some cigar brands simply don’t make it. And like you, our staff here gets fired up when a favorite blend hits the chopping the block. Only, we’ve found a loop hole…
Through our connections in Central America, we began ordering some of these discontinued blends in mazos of 10 for some staff around the office. Soon account managers were selling them to clients and soon clients began e-mailing for more. So why keep this from the masses? Introducing: the Osiris Collection! Industry blends that went the way of the dodo are back for a second run. The only catch? Because of trademark issues, industry politics, etc. we cannot disclose what brands they were. Although with a little digging, I’m sure you can find out.
Collection I (Green): Loaded with long-fillers from Central America's most fertile growing regions: Esteli, Jamastran, and Ometepe, this beauty is finished with hearty Ecuadorian Sun Grown Sumatra wrapper that provides a ton of depth in the form of a medium to full-bodied blend loaded with notes of earth, black pepper, and hints of natural sweetness.
Collection III (Brown): This firecracker is from a manufacturer known for their small batch blends. This box-pressed cigar contains a mix of Nicaraguan ligero and viso leaves bound with a sliver of Ecuadorian tobacco, which is then concealed by a Nicaraguan Habano wrapper cultivated in 2004. The finish is slightly robust, but smooth with flavors of cedar, spice, and earth.
Collection IV (Red): This is the blend that got Osiris off the ground. After offering a few mazos to customers, we were faced with an onslaught of requests for more. The blend got the axe originally because consumption was simply to hard to keep up with. Now in a smaller batch, this beauty can thrive in limited quantities. The blend is mixture of exotic Nicaraguan tobaccos that are finished with PA Broadleaf maduro. Expect a hearty, rich core from this stunning behemoth.
