The Rake raises the stakes.
The Rake borrows its name from a gambling term describing the percentage a card room takes for hosting a poker game. The love of ‘the game’ is a common theme running through MoyaRuiz’s cigar lines, from La Jugada inspired by Dominos, to The Rake borrowed from poker. With an expanding portfolio of highly rated blends, The Rake looks to up the ante.
Produced at Erik Espinosa’s La Zona factory in Esteli, Nicaragua, The Rake comes sheathed in a Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper atop a blend of Nicaraguan long leaves containing 4 ligeros. Coming in at medium to full-bodied with robust flavors of pepper, mocha, spice, and fruit present without crossing the line into becoming overwhelming or bitter. The Rake deftly balances complex and rich flavors making for an enjoyable and pleasant experience.
