A timeless classic.Montecristo, with a small few other brands, are firmly entrenched as pillars of the cigar industry. In relation to the other cigar brands started in Cuba, Montecristo is a newer brand, making its start in Cuba in 1935. In old Cuba, it was commonplace for cigar rollers to be entertained with the reading from stories and books to break up what was typically a long day. One such story that was a favorite among the cigar rollers was the tale of the Count of Montecristo. Legend has it, that the reading of this story is what paved the way for the Montecristo cigar brand.
When someone asks you to name a brand of cigars, Montecristo will surely be at the top of your list. The quintessential Dominican cigar has legions of fans, and will suit any palate with a remarkable consistency. Packed with a luscious blend of Dominican long-fillers, Montecristo is topped off with a light, savory Connecticut Shade wrapper. This mellow-bodied gem is the perfect pairing for your morning coffee and can be enjoyed any time of day.
The best. Mellow flavor, even burn, great smoke. Treat yourself to this great cigar.
This was the first Montecristo that I purchased and smoked. Unfortunately, I put it out right after I lit it. It was too heavy for such a small smoke. For those of you who enjoy a robust taste this is probably for you. But for those of us whose palate prefers a subtle draw, do take head.
Nice draw with a light taste. The burn was fine and so was the ash. Recommended for the light smoker.
