One of our all-time favorites, Mark Twain is a mellow blend perfect for every day enjoyment. Hailing from Nicaragua, they contain an aged recipe of Nicaraguan long-leaves masked with a silky Connecticut Shade wrapper. We simply can't get over how inexpensive this cigar is for the quality contained within. Upon first glance it looks exceptional, seamless from head to toe with a dark hue, leaving the stick almost looking like it's showcasing a Habano leaf. Expertly constructed at one of the country's most premier manufacturers, this mellow to medium-bodied beauty will sure satisfy.
Mark Twain consists of Nicaraguan long-fillers all meticulously hand-bunched, and then bound with a Nicaraguan binder. The result releases a hearty character of earth that exudes crisp notes of white pepper and oak. A light sweetness rests on your palate for a medium finish, while the premium Connecticut Shade wrapper keeps the cigar smooth and mellow from head to toe. Perfect with your favorite cup of coffee or as your constant after-work delight, Mark Twain will provide you with at least an hour of enjoyment, especially when you consider its hefty sizes.
Good nicely priced box, one or two in a box doesn’t burn well, but worth the price. Have bought twice and will buy again.
This is one of my favorite morning cigars. Teamed up with coffee, its a great match. This is a nice mild smoke when you want something light. Long lasting, this is one I try to keep on hand all the time.
This cigar has a nice construction and burns slow and evenly. For me, the flavor wasn't as great as I had expected. At first, the pepper taste was auite strong, almost to the point of harshness. Eventually, it smoothed a little into a leathery texture which gradually deepened but the strong notes of pepper and spice that wouldn't go away. The spiciness returned to full strength toward the end. I like Conneticut cigars to be mild and creamy. This was more like a Habano, so if you're into that then you may enjoy this one.
Bought a box on the sprint sale and put them in the humidor for a few weeks. This cigar burned very even all the way, easy to light, and I liked the balanced flavor, a little sweetness and a little spice and neither dominated. Good volume of smoke on almost every puff. It burned a little fast in my opinion, I was done in an hour and it's a hefty size. But for $1.75/stick, this was a fantastic grab. Very enjoyable cigar. When I'm done with this box I'll probably get the No. 3 size.
Love this cigar, it is well made, has a great taste and an even better after taste. If only it wasn't so windy here. LOLz.
I'm still a novice smoker but I've smoked a lot of cigars over the past year or so -- everything from Cohiba to Camacho to AB to RP to Drew Estate to My Father to Graycliff to Hesitant Pirate and everything in between. I prefer churchills so I was curious to try Mark Twain cigars because of their size and price. I have to say that it's a pleasant, mild, good burning stick, especially for the price. Definitely something I'd buy a box or two to put in the humi to have on hand.
A good smoke, a little too long for my taste as a new smoker I got my fill of the stick about halfway through. Can't resmoke after its been lit cause the smoke kills it. Over all if a had a full hour to sit and smoke it would be my choice.
