One of the most iconic brands in the business.
Debuting in 1968 in Miami’s Little Havana district, La Gloria Cubana cigars are more than just a rich, full-bodied indulgence. The bold taste of this premium cigar became a favorite among the local Cuban expats. In 1980, the history of this cigar moved forward, embellishing on the infusion of unique tobaccos to enrich the former, glorified taste. Many enthusiasts turn to this blend, recognizing its superiority and, with its Little Havana roots, it’s one of the most sought-after cigars in the world.
La Gloria Cubana cigars utilize only the finest tobaccos the world has to offer. Comprised of Dominican and Nicaraguan tobaccos, this blend is finished with a seamless Ecuadorian Sumatra or Maduro wrapper and provides your palate with rich notes of oak, earth, and espresso. The cigar lives up to its ‘92' rating and then some. Even with all the delicious new releases La Gloria Cubana has put out over the years, this blend proves that it's still the classic.
This has been My go to cigar for years now. I fell in Love with it from my first puff. I always have some in my humidor. Very unique taste.
What can I say, I love this cigar. Smoked a ton of them and I keep coming back for more. Gives me all the flavor profile I crave and then some. Itry to always keep these on hand.
the Wavell is a solid, flavorful, medium bodied smoke, with a full bodied reputation. Having enjoyed many of these 15 years ago, I received one in a sampler & couldn't wait to try it. I managed 36 hours before firing it up. Losing my hair? Yes. But not my sense of a good cigar. Being 10 years since I had smoked one of these, I was a bit surprised how familiar the hearty earth tones & peppery aftertaste seemed. I is as I remember. Not for everyone. Not as complex as many full bodied blends. Yet charming, in its own right. I have always enjoyed smoking this cigar & happily give the Wavell my highest rating, 5 vitola. The price falls well under my self imposed $5 limit. You can spend a lot more & get a lot less, in my opinion. If you are a fan of Hoyo & those sort of flavor profiles, no reason to think you won't like a good, peppery La Gloria Cubana.
My everyday smoke. I love these and the natural version. Take the maduro very slow. smoking it too fast may give you some sour notes that stick to your taste buds. Amazing construction always a perfect draw. You can set one down for 10+ minutes and come back for a puff without relighting. It's hard to find a better quality smoke for the price.
great cigar! my favorite. rich robust strong full flavored. I ordered the La Gloria Cubana sampler and this was by far my favorite one. one of the best cigars i have ever enjoyed. strongly suggested.
This cigar started off with a little bit of an uneven burn, but after about 3/4 of an inch it evened itself out. From start to finish, the flavor was quite phenomenal, and reminded me of a Cuban Bolivar I had in a similar size. The draw was perfect, and once the cigar calmed down a little after the first half inch, it was a dream. A nice peppery and cedar taste hit the palate immediately, and were followed by a nice oak and bittersweet cacao flavours. I was able to smoke this cigar down to about an inch and a half left before it got hot, and it held an ash for a good three inches before falling off! Overall, a great cigar for a great price, it honestly contends with some of the better Cubans!
Perfect everyday smoke! Inexpensive but well tasting! Not too aggressive but not so far as to call it mild. Would go great with a lager. :)
I tried a tin of these in the maduro wrappers, and beside Sol Cubano Cuban Cabinet and the Fonseca Habana Seleccion, these are hands down my favorite Cigars! I almost cried the day I smoked the last one in my humidor! Fantastic pre-light aroma and delicious taste end-to-end. Nothing like smelling and tasting the Naches area before getting work done and when winding down after another day in life; good or bad. I am DEFINITELY ordering another tin and one of a much fatter size in my next order! More than delighted by these beauties.
My first La Gloria and it was excellent. Can't wait to try the maduro!
If you like a medium cigar (Not too mild, not too strong), then this is a Great cigar for you. Mild with a little spice ... like butter, oak and pepper. I just bought a single cigar with my last order of whole boxes so I could try it out. I like the La Gloria Series R because for the money I believe that you cannot find a better cigar. Consistent, great draw, great flavor, the whole bit. But I like a milder cigar. I just tried this against a Rocky Pital and a Monte Christo White Rothschild (Don't bother, ugh), but this La Gloria was Terrific. I am ordering a box of a slightly larger ring gauge because this one was a little on the small side for me. Buy one and try it.
