Overview

Flavor / Balance.

La Gloria Cubana is one of the most flavorful cigars made in the Dominican Republic today.

If you’re a long-time fan of the La Gloria line, Artesanos Retro Especial will strike you first with its lighter than usual wrapper. Using a unique Honduran-grown Connecticut tobacco leaf, this wrapper translates into big flavor with a smooth finish. This blend isn’t a powerhouse, but it’s definitely one of the most flavorful Connecticuts on the market. Starting off with traditional Connecticut creaminess, this blend evolves into a medium-bodied burst of pepper, earth, and cedar before completing with a smooth, solid finish.

They were fairly good. Cigars but after my Chinas they are hard to say they were better
Good burn, stayed the same throughout, good finish. Was able to get a good size ash on it

Wonderful cigar!
I purchased a box of these when they were on sale. I usually like darker wrappers but this cigar has a wonderful flavor. It is smooth and creamy but develops nicely with a light spice to it. I plan to buy more!

Customer Testimonials
I have to start by saying I have never been a huge fan of La Gloria Cubana. Maybe I've just never had a good, memorable experience with the brand, or perhaps I simply smoked duds in the past. I also tend to prefer medium to full bodied cigars. That being said, I very much enjoyed this cigar and it exceeded my expectations. As a mild cigar goes, this one has a fair amount of flavor. For the first 2/3's of the cigar, it is primarily creamy and has notes of vanilla and a spice flavor that I could only describe as nutmeg. Not much pepper in there at all. Moving into the final 1/3, the cigar picks up strong notes of cedar. The only thing I did not enjoy was the harshness that surfaced towards the very end of the smoke. Otherwise, it was very enjoyable and a nice surprise for me. I'd say give it a shot. Great mild cigar.

Easily one of the strongest Connecticut cigars on the market and also one of the creamiest blends I've ever encountered. I like when cigars change in flavor and this blend hits the spot. Complex with bold flavors transitioning from inch to inch, its aroma and flavor are both thoroughly delicious.
