La Aurora consistently produces hand-rolled Dominicans full of flavor and rustic charm. Founded in 1903, they have grown from humble roots to a world-wide brand with an impressive portfolio of ‘90’+ rated releases. Their Embassador Habana Corojo is an extra-special cigar line. Even for a company that specializes in small-batch blends, Embassador Habana Corojo is a different breed.
Post-rolling, each Embassador Habana Corojo has been aged at minimum 10 years in cedar rooms before being carefully bundled up and presented for purchase in attractive paper mazos. Sleeping on beds of cedar for a decade saw their flavor profiles grow increasingly complex, eventually rounding out into the balanced beauties they are today. With Havana Vuelta Arriva Corojo-seed wrappers from Ecuador encasing a core of four different long-leaf tobaccos: Corojo Ligero from the DR, Cubita cultivated in Colombia, and Criollo '98 Seco & Viso, both vis-à-vis Nicaragua. Carefully blended together, they're well-held by a Dominican Corojo binder, and the whole enchilada combines to create an absolutely enjoyable experience. Expect a bright and boldly nuanced character complete with sweet cedar, savory spices, and even a touch of citrus. Medium-bodied, Embassador Havana Corojo is a blend you should get to know personally ASAP!
