WOW!! These things do exactly as described. Humidor stays at a constant 62. They take up some room if you have a smaller humidor but they take all the processes out of maintaining humidity. Just add water.

Does not work, AT ALL. Save your money. I bought the larger size to accomodate my 100 count humidor. Humidity level has still not reached 60 degrees ,after a month . Disappointed

Great product! I was struggling in CO with my humidor, with other products , as our air is often in single digit humidity. While this does take up some valuable space (every corner) it’s been spot on in the month or so since I installed it.

Excellent product. Initially, I had concerns about potential toxicity in utilizing a propylene glycol based solution for humidification. However, after a fair amount of research, my concerns were allayed. Using the Black Ice Pie with Humi-Care's "Cigar Juice"has proved to be an awesome humidification system. Refilling every 3-weeks, or so (approx) is all that it takes. - How convenient is that? The only thing that I would advise is that your humidor needs to be on the larger size to support the 8oz Ice Pie. If you're using a smaller humidor; then the 4oz Ice Pie will do the trick.

Actually, they are in every corner of my humidor and have made it much more efficient.

I've had any number of humidification devices. This product works the best, even better than cigar oasis and its very inexpensive and maintenance free

I have the 8oz jar. For the folks that say that they did not get directions. Uh check your box they are on it. It says to take out the screen and fill it with humi-care or distilled water half way.... Then put them in the humidor and that is it.

So Everything that I have bought as of recently have not actually got to use it I drive a truck and I am eagerly waiting to get home and put it to work but will be needing more product thank you

unit too large and would not fit in my humidor---- humidor holds over 100 cigars---- I called and suggested to your representative and suggested you put a note in your catalogue as to its size requirements--- also suggest your representative could have been more helpful when I called regarding my situation and suggestion and been more helpful.

Good product

No directions so had to guess (successfully) at how much distilled water to add. It does the job though.

This is a neat thing...but comes with no instructions on how to open or use it. Be carful when you open it or you will have little black beads all over the floor as I did. Additionally, no idea how much water to put in since there were no instructions with it.

Very convenient and easy to keep filled, and does a great job keeping my humidor at the ideal setting.

I’d be lying if I said my wife didn’t help me out with preparing my pie jars. But once they were plenty saturated, (~1 hour with adding propylene glycol/distilled mix every 15 minutes, enough to cover the beads, but not flood.) and ready to go; my humidor has been moist and humid ever since I put this inside! Awesome performance, great idea for tucking them away in the corners. I gave this product 4/5 stars due to a lack of instructions or at least a guide. It’s simple once you know, (and you’ll feel silly for overthinking it.) but I couldn’t imagine fiddling with this without the guidance of my better half.

There are no instructions for this larger sized product, so I had to call for them.It comes with a small number of very small beads that expand to many times their size when you add distilled water. You need to be careful not to tip one of the semi-round containers over or drop it, which is easy to do when you take the lid off, because they might spill out of the containers and will be impossible to replace them back in. They appear to work in my large humidor, but it will not fit in the corners of those holding only 50 cigars, because the canisters are too tall and interfere with the lid closing on the humidor.I imagine that the 4oz size would fit in the smaller humidors, but the web site does not provide a measurement of either size.

Needed new beads for my stash. Been looking and kept coming back to these. Super fast shipping even though I also ordered Xikar butane together. Ordered late Wed. night, del. Sat. afternoon. Filled up not quite half full with Xikar juice, good to go. All four full almost to screen. Great products from an excellent compan!!!

For my specific jar (4 pieces) the half way mark with water was not substantial. I was attempting to prepare 2 of the pie shaped cups for use but had trouble getting ALL of the beads to absorb and expand. I poured the 2 pieces (beads & water) into a small tuperware, added enough water for all of the beads to drink, and waited. The beads swelled enough to fill 3 of the pie cups. I placed 1 piece into a humi, a second pies into another humi, and the 3rd piece into my fridgador. The 2 humi's hold approx 150 cigars and the humidity has been at 70% in each for 3 weeks now. The fridge is massive so the pie increased the humidity by only 1%, which is fine. If you do NOT expect all written instructions to be perfect and if you have the time and patience to tinker around with this product, you should be pleased. I plan to purchase this product again to have in my "contingency" stash.

The first time I tried this product and the original order the jar was damaged. I called in and told the customer service person my issue and after explaining my problem she quickly said she would ship another and in a few days I did. Thanks for the help!!!

Throw out the old humidification sponge and get this! Just fill each pie jar about half way with cigar juice and the tiny black beads expand in jar. Be careful not to overfill the jar because the black beads will bust out and end up all over the floor of your humidor...I experienced this first hand. Other than that, the humidification stays perfect 72-74% for up to a month! I placed one in each corner of the humidor and just monitor the fluid levels. Excellent product!

I have a 30 cigar humidor with the standard humidifier that doesn't seem to work and around 30 cigars inside. Called the customer service to get some advice and was told to try out the black ice humor are. I am satisfied becuase it does a great job keeping the humidity at 68-70. This works far better than any of the other gel/crystals I have used. Love that it comes apart and can be placed in the corners. And you can use DI water and not have to purchase the glycol. Had it for a few weeks now and the humidor is staying at a constant 68%.

I have 2 small humidors, and I placed 2 pieces in each one. Both are maintaining perfect humidity. Fill halfway with distilled water when you get them, then they will expand and maintain perfect levels

Would suggest included an enclosed instruction pamphlet with this product or it just might have been left out of my order accidentally. Otherwise it keeps my humidor at a perfect 70 percent humidity and my cigars fresh and happy!

It does a pretty good job. I have them in 4 of my humidors and for the most part they do a good job of keeping the cigars between 65 and 70%. Humidors with 75 or more cigars need more than 4 segments of the 8 oz product. I supplement my more heavily stocked humidors with extra humidificafion and it seems to stabilize it. Overall it's a great product and has worked pretty well keeping up my humidity in the summer months.

i might have a bad humidor. Tried setting it up right and it won't keep the humidity. Added this jar and it's better but not in the desired range. I may just need a better humidor. This jar does work.

no instructions. very easy to use. does not look like anything but some black fuzz or pepper in side. fill with sterile water to first line. within 2 hour jar is full.

It does what it claims to do nothing more nothing less

I have 2 humidors with these giving the boost I need to keep the right humidity. Easy to use and do not take up very much room.
