Hoyo de Monterrey is once again collaborating with AJ Fernandez for HOYO La Amistad Black—the third installment in the line. This collaboration is especially near and dear to AJ, as he grew up near the Hoyo de Monterrey factory in Cuba.
AJ was challenged with creating a cigar that held true to HOYO's traditional nuances while ensuring his signature touches weren’t lost, and what he produced is nothing short of spectacular. The blend is wrapped in a well-aged Ecuador Sumatra Oscuro leaf with Nicaraguan Habano long-fillers beneath. Arguably HOYO's boldest cigar, it may also be its most complex, with notes of cocoa, coffee, leather, and some hints of ripe red fruit. Classic yet modern, HOYO La Amistad Black is a must-try.
