Hello Hoyo. Introducing one of the most famous brands on the market.
Hoyo de Monterrey is one of the oldest cigar brands in the world, with roots in Cuba before expanding production to their factory in Honduras. The unique multi-country blend used to make Hoyo de Monterrey is full-flavored, with a smooth, creamy character and great balance. Hoyo de Monterrey is and always has been a classic. Smoked by new enthusiasts and aficionados alike, it has a versatile flavor that appeals to many palates.
Hoyo de Monterrey Presidente Maduro is one of my favorite sticks. It's the first one I lock onto when I open my 120 qt coolidor. And if I didn't pick another from time to time, I'd quickly run out. This is a no frills full bodied, full flavored stogie, with tons of leather and earth. There are a few, if any, burn or construction flaws. It’s easy to see why it’s called the "espresso" of cigars. If you would prefer a more medium-bodied cigar, the Hoyo Excalibur-another wonderful smoke- may be more to your liking.
This particular cigar was the first handmade I ever smoked. I ordered it as part of a sampler from Cigar.com about 8 yrs. ago. After smoking machine made cigars for years I decided to try some premium smokes. WOW!! Compare a Ferrari to a Kia and you'll get the picture. This has great flavour and is a great mild to medium smoke. Dump the drug-store sticks and do go into the light!
I am in love with this Maduro Governor. Having been through a few boxes of these, the quality is always top notch and ranks up there with pricier cigars. The flavor is exquisite and the creamy medium body could go equally well with many drinks. The price should always keep a box in your humidor.
Nice little smoke. It started out a little disappointing, but got better as I smoked it. For people who don't have the time to smoke all night this is the smoke to try. you can't beat the price either. My husband wasn't offended by the smell either. I'll be buying more.
The best, period.
A little harsh. Good flavor, but the finish was wanting. As smaller smokes go this about a 7, on the 1-10 scale.
Very good cigar. Great value. My standard "golf" cigar.
