I really never thought very much about Gurkha. I had several different blends over the years and always considered them to be "just ok". Then came along a sampler from Cigar.com which contained a Gurkha Beauty. I let it sit in one of my many humidors for several months until one day I needed a cigar that I thought was a cut above of my usual "yard gar". I toasted the foot and fired this cigar up. Man what a tasty treat! Kinda wished I had saved it for a more special occasion than that evening. No regrets though. I bought a mazo on one of cigar.coms specials (only way I could afford them). Now I'm fighting myself to keep my hands off of them. What an outstanding cigar this is, highly recommended!

To be honest, I truly was hoping I would not like the cigar (because of the price and Conneticut wrapper). However, this has been one of the best smokes I have ever had. My description of the 'gar matches Tony's Review. This very nice, well built cigar is truly for special occasions. My pocket book cannot handle burning one of these on a nightly basis. To smoke one these every night would cost over $10,000 a year: an amount I can afford, but not afford to burn.
