'95' rated; the most sought-after super-premium in the world.
Arturo Fuente has a renowned reputation for quality and class. The '95' rated Fuente Fuente OpusX is arguably their finest creation.
OpusX is one of the rarest cigars in the world. It is elusive to almost every enthusiast because of its limited production. Prior to 1990, the Dominican Republic was well-known for its filler and binder tobacco. Growing wrapper tobacco on the island proved impossible due to the topography of the land and wind. The wrapper is a vital component of any cigar as it contributes to most of the flavor. Carlos Fuente Jr. set out on a mission to be the first cigar maker in the D.R. to successfully grow wrapper tobacco. With the help of cheese cloths to protect the tobacco from the elements, the first successful crop was turned out in 1992. This wrapper is matched with unparalleled vintage tobaccos for its filler and binder, and was the first super-premium Dominican Puro (it only contains tobaccos grown there) on the market.
OpusX was an overnight success. It consistently receives the highest ratings from industry publications, and continues to be the pinnacle of fine cigars. Almost impossible to find, this cigar is widely considered the “best of the best." It is full-bodied and the aromas in each size are distinctly different, but the one characteristic each has in common is near perfect taste and quality. Nowhere in the world can a finer cigar be found. This cigar is referred to by aficionados as “an expensive addiction” because once this cigar makes its way into your humidor, you will never look at cigars the same way again. '95' rated, OpusX was the #3 Cigar of 2010, among hundreds of other ratings and awards.
This stick in any size is more than worth the high price tag. Lots of smoke wonderful it every way.
The Perfection X is my all-time favorite! You may pay $25-$30 a stick, but it is worth price. I introduced my dad to these several years ago and now he can't get enough. Great smoke!
Smoked quite a few of these over the past few years. They are decent cigars. They are horribly overpriced for what they are. Never had one burn evenly of any of the sizes. For what each stick costs one might expect a greater level of craftsmanship than what one may receive. Will be sticking to the CAO Vision. Essentially the same cigar with 1/3 the price.
I splurged and bought this in a coffin to celebrate the birth of my son. This was a monster that took about 2.5 hours to smoke. Great even burn, about 2" white ash. The smoke was smooth and plentiful. The taste was complex with leather, espresso, earth, slight pepper and I think a hint of nuts. Very Tasty.
Killer stick! Great ash and tons of smoke as the spice around it filled the room with alot of aroma. The wrapper, although very smooth, started to come off at the middle. Highly recommended for the serious smoker.
