Mellow to medium-bodied, you'll be pleasantly surprised at the flavor this Ecuadorian Connecticut-wrapped beauty produces. Enter E.P. Carrillo's introductory stick made with the new, ultra discerning enthusiast in mind: New Wave. Ernesto Perez-Carrillo founded the El Credito Cigar Company in Miami, Florida—the manufacturer of the highly popular La Gloria Cubana cigars produced in the Dominican Republic. Born in Cuba, he mastered the art of cigar making and is one of the best blenders in the industry. He now has moved on to form another fantastic cigar operation, EPC Cigar Company, and the E.P. Carrillo brand was born.
New Wave features a zesty blend of Nicaraguan and Dominican long-leaves all masked with a semi-robust Nicaraguan binder. This combination creates thick smoke with ample flavor that'll affect every aspect of your palate. To smooth out the blend, creating an excellent medium body with a toasty character, an Ecuadorian-grown Connecticut leaf graces the outside. The final result creates a plethora of complexity in a smooth, mellow to medium-bodied format. Perfect morning, noon or night, expect creamy notes of coffee mixed with some spicy-sweet flavors as the finish releases a refined note of earth and cedar that seems to last forever.
A very tasty cigar I could smoke all day. Burns very well and stays very tasty thru to the end.
Medium bodied with toasty / nutty notes, I usually prefer an upper medium spicy smoke but these are tasty! I just smoked my last stick & will be reordering these again.
