Don Rafael cigars aren't the ones taking home all the accolades or stealing all the glory, but they are consistently filling up humidors from coast to coast. Rolled by Jose Dominguez in the very same factory that makes Victor Sinclair, each one is solidly constructed, and offers up a mellow to medium-bodied experience that holds tons of universal appeal.
Draped in a dark and oily Connecticut Broadleaf maduro wrapper, a bevy of Dominican long-fillers and a Dominican binder completes the recipe. Expect earthy sensations from head to foot with some hints of sweet cocoa throughout. The finish is smooth yet coats your palate, keeping your interest in its entirety. The perfect maduro for those seeking flavor over strength.
Never smoked one before I was given a Don Rafael by a friend at work. I enjoyed it so I bought a box and I am now on my third box. A rich consistent flavor and a very well built cigar for such a low price point. For me, this was a real find. I smoke more pricy premium cigars and fill it in with lower priced ones if I smoke more than one at a time. But this one is every bit as good as the higher priced cigar with a more consistent burn than some.
