One of the most famous brands in the world.
Considered this legendary brand’s flagship blend, Cohiba Red Dot is a cigar known to enthusiasts worldwide. The product of five years of intensive research and blending efforts by General Cigar—makers of Punch, Partagas, and Hoyo de Monterrey – this is one premium which deserves prime real estate in your humidor.
‘92’ rated, Red Dot is made in the Dominican Republic using only the finest tobaccos and the most qualified rollers. Finished with an authentic Cameroon wrapper that gives this handmade a naturally-sweet profile, Red Dot is medium to full-bodied and presents notes of wood, cedar, earth, cocoa, black pepper, and caramel. In fact, the word cohiba comes from the Taíno language meaning “sweet grass,” a term used by the native tribes who once inhabited the Spanish-speaking Caribbean. Given that very definition, the Cohiba brand name is ideally suited for this popular premium.

This cigar struck me as more mild than medium; not that being mild is a bad thing, in my opinion. The only surprise for me was how much I had to cut off the cap in order to get a good draw. But, I found the Cohiba Red Dot to be very smooth and enjoyable for my limited cigar experience. I would definitely buy more.
I got a robusto in the cigar.com humidor deal the included 10 cigars. I was very surprised at how great this cigar was. I mean it tasted great. I can't comment on how it lit because it was windy so that part of the review is ruined. It burned at a reasonable pace. It burned evenly. A to my knowledge distinguished and truly original flavor. I would have to suddenly die sometime in the near future to say I lived my life without buying more of these. It's all there, it's got everything going for it. I recommend it to pretty much every kind of cigar smoker there is. I'm more of a maduro man myself and I found this just an amazing smoke. Likely a box purchase sometime soon from me. So to everyone out there who is in good enough health to smoke, I say at least give this one a try.
Simply put... fantastic. I look forward to the time of day when I can have a Cohiba Red Dot. Just an all-around excellent cigar. Highly recommended. I know the price is tough but I don't smoke these every day. I make sure I'm not distracted and can just focus on these beauties.
Great tasting, great smoking, all around great cigar!!!
I can get why Cohiba is in demand. The history, the flawless construction, a wonderful medium bodied flavor profile loaded with subtle spice & a creamy finish. Really delicious. However, due to the cost of these fine cigars, I have found them to be out of my price range. The Red Dot blend commands upwards of $10 & I can see why people pay that premium price to obtain them. Happily, I got one at a bargain with a sampler & thoroughly enjoyed smoking it. It's firm white ash shows just how good it is made. The cap is perfect, taking an extra cutm before it will release clouds of tasty white smoke. This is a fine cigar. Too bad it is so expensive. I give it a 4 vitola rating, mostly due to the cost. Flavor & construction deserve 5 vitolas. If you can afford them, I highly recommend the blend.
Decent cigar - nothing like the Cuban version. The Cuban is smooth and spicy with a lingering finish - the Red Dot is it's rougher cousin. Roughish wrapper, great burn with plenty of smoke. Big flavour but definately not smooth. I enjoyed it - it's well made, needed no touch ups and never got too harsh - but it was never smooth to begin with. There's plenty of sticks better for less money.
Great little things. Would certainly recommend to anyone who's looking to kill fifteen minutes. Or if you're trying to fit in with cigarette smokers, these are great. They don't have long filler however, so there are some bits of tobacco that can get messy, also make sure you don't smoke them too far down because they can get really hot.
Outstanding cigar! One of my must have favorites.
This is a very well made cigar. It had a flawless construction and a smooth cap. It had a very even burn but burned a little fast for the money. Overall it was a good smoke with some hints of wood and mint. I was very pleased with this cigar and will probably buy more.
Does this brand make anything with flavor? These are rich-person wussy cigars...like air, smoked to impress people, but can't possibly be enjoyed by a real cigar-smoker. Mild? How about non-existent! geez, for less money try a Fuente hemingway or Ashton heritage for a super mild smoke that still feels like you ARE smoking!
Vary nice Taste. I felt that it smoked a little fast for the money spent (Local) and it was very uneven. Overall I would give it a 85.
One of the smoothest cigars ever. Nice finish, even burn, and easy draw. I highly recommend this one for any laid back occassion.
The Cohiba Red Dot Churchill represents one of the very finest smoking expierencs that you will find. It is a very mild, yet full-bodied cigar. It smokes slow and even, and although to some, a bit pricey, it is by far one of my preferred choices. If you want something for a special occasion, or just want to enjoy a truly fine cigar, then you MUST try these! And for you connoisseurs, there is virtually no difference between a Dominican and a Cuban Cohiba! They are just that good! And as for
