CAO Nicaragua is a very flavorful and consistent smoke and is another fine achievement in the CAO line. Also, the price is right and the cigars are enjoyable for every day and for special occasions.

Flavor is nice, but the draw and burn is very inconsistent with each cigar. One will burn nice and even, then the next one I’m doing surgery on just to draw smoke through it. I bought a box of 20 and it’s about every 3 cigars I’ll have 1 good one. Probably won’t purchase the Nicaragua again. When they would draw properly, the flavors were wonderful. It’s unusual for CAO, I’ve had the America, Brazil, etc and they were all very consistent.

I first tried these as a five pack and they were great!! Bought my first box shortly after. In the first box 19 were all I could ask for - good flavor, burn etc. But I did have one that was so tight it was almost impossible to draw. Needless to say I recently bought another box because I've never had trouble with a CAO prior to this and consider the one a one off. So far so good on that 2nd box.

I purchased a box of the coronas under the influence of the Cigar Aficionado magazine rating of 91. I generally only but two for the initial try, but I felt confident in the CAO brand. That was my big mistake, I have smoked half the box and I have not yet had a good smoke. The binders are to tight and create a very tight draw eliminating any chance for good flavors to come through. They rated it 91, my rating is 19. Do not waste your money on this cigar.

With a name like Nicaragua, I was really expecting a more full bodied smoke with my favorite tobacco country's best stuff. The cigar really just didn't seem to have much flavor/personality. Definitely a surprised being a CAO. I smoke a couple and have put the rest back to age, hoping they will get better. The cigar wasn't offensive or "bad", but not anything special either.
