Box from the order was crushed and split open but cigars were still in good shape. Flavor was full and had hints of chocolate after the first 1/3. Hints of black pepper on the last 1/3. 1st 1/3 was pretty harsh. (Be sure to let them sit in humidor a few days before smoking). Smoked very evenly and didn't need touchup. Overall a good stick.

This Ave Marie is a bit stronger that you typical Connecticut wrapped cigar. Burns extremely well. A full bodied flavor. It's what you would expect from an A.J. Fernandez production.

Ave Maria does not disappoint. When you want a flavorful smoke that is not afraid to show its strength, light up a Lionheart.

Decent cigar worth a try

I have been a fan of the Ave Maria Reconquista for quite some time. When a special offer came thru email from Cigar.com I had enough faith in the Ave Maria brand and perhaps enough Bourbon, I read a review, threw caution to the wind, and bought the box. I am quite pleased. While I prefer a Churchill, the Lionheart Chancellor provided a long smooth and consistent smoke. It's attractive, smells pleasant before lighting, burns well, and a great value. It's not too complex, slightly peppery, but I will say if you are a new smoker and looking for something on the bolder side, this is a great intro to a bolder cigar. These are a great value for a premium brand. I'll keep these in the humidor!.
