This Serie D boasts a ton of personality.
Eddie Ortega is a well-known face in the premium cigar industry, and his Serie D line has garnered a ton of respect. Original releases include the full-bodied and intense blends Serie D and Serie D Maduro. This latest offering differs slightly in that it's the first that's not box-pressed, and has a strength that falls somewhere in between the original two. It's being made at the My Father cigar factory and comes from none other than Don Pepin Garcia.
Serie D Black utilizes a well-aged mix of Nicaraguan fillers that hail from Esteli and Jalapa. Adding a dose of complexity, this tasty core is topped with an Ecuadorian Habano wrapper. A spicy character that includes notes of pepper and spice is joined by moments of sweetness, and the cigar remains balanced all the way through. As far as premium handmades go, you can't do much better than this.
