overview

Never overwhelmingly strong, Henry Clay has a unique and rich flavor.

Henry Clay cigars are named for the famous American politician by the same name (U.S. senator from Kentucky 1806-07, 1810-11, 1831-42, 1849-52; U.S. representative and Speaker of the House 1811-14, 1815-21, 1823-25; U.S. Secretary of State 1825-29) and have a cult-like following. This cigar is a favorite of aficionados with a more refined palate who find it unique for its flavorful Connecticut Broadleaf maduro wrapper. This wrapper gives the cigar a medium body and a robust aroma.

The smoke from Henry Clay has a chewy texture with strong, earthy aromas and light spices. It's a great maduro cigar with a moderate price point. The old Henry Clay factory in Cuba is still featured on each box of Henry Clay cigars. Ever since the embargo, Henry Clay cigars have been produced in the Dominican Republic by the finest rollers at the Altadis factory.
