I am having a difficult time maintaining the humidity in my humidor, what can I do?

That is a great question. Before we get started there are a few fundamentals that we need to check. First, what type of hygrometer are you using to monitor your humidity? Analog hygrometers are typically less reliable than digital hygrometers and can vary by as much as 7%. If you are having a hard time maintaining humidity with an analog, I highly recommend switching to a digital which has a much smaller margin of error. Also, regardless of what type of reading instrument you are using, make sure you calibrate your hygrometer properly. This procedure is easy to follow and can be found with the instructions that come with most units.
