The reemergence of a legend.

Although the Don Sixto name might sound new to you, it's been around the industry for a while. Originally established in Cuba, Don Sixto was churning out blends in the competition-rich Cuban cigar industry for years until the embargo came into effect. The Don was the first to start growing tobacco in Honduras and Nicaragua, so it's only fitting that Don Sixto's memory be commemorated by one of the biggest manufacturers in both Honduras and Nicaragua: Nestor Plasencia.

At first glance, Don Sixto may not stand out, but as soon as you light it, you'll know you have something unique. The blend of Nicaraguan and Honduran tobaccos emits rich plumes of smoke that include notes of cedar, cream, and cashews. But what takes it to another level is the Nicaraguan Habano binder. This binder provides some much-needed strength to the blend, which remains unusually medium-bodied through the duration. This is a Connecticut with some strength, and you'd be wise to give it a try.
