  • Re: Whatcha smokin tonight?

with a 3.5 hour ride home from a trip to NY City today before i left this morning i chose a Monticristo Media Noche churchill. What a sweet 2.5 hour smoke, literally it was sweet! A very well balanced cosistant smoke with a good punch right to the very end.

Macanudo Hyde Park is also a good choice. A good creamy melow flavor.

  • Re: Question?!?

I would definitely not advocate inhaling. However i must say that i find myself cheating occasionally and slightly inhaling a puff here or there, mostly with the lighter bodied cigars after a good steak dinner and a double shot of esspresso, i just can't help myself dammit :). This is again, i think, totally a personal preference and shouldnot ...

  • Re: Summer Humi Cooling

Thanks Kuz, much appreciated. I think this would be an interesting topic too. I am learning a little bit about it on my own as well. There are several websites that have the units for sale with varying sizes and drawings etc.. The technology is definitely within easy reach of the do it yourselfer, but the science part of it as far as the sizing ...

  • Re: Summer Humi Cooling

I want to put a thermoelectric unit into my cabinet humidor. The device needs to be large enough to cool down a 28T x 22W x 17D wood cabinet by 10 degrees from ambient (say from 84 to 74) worst case scenario, but small enough so it's not too cumbersome internally and externally. There are several companies that sell them and they give advice but ...

Does anyone here have any do it yourself experience with thermoelectronic air coolers?

  • Re: Whatcha smokin tonight?

I just tried a La Aurora Leon Jimenes Belicoso maduro from a sampler that i received several months ago. The dark maduro wrapper of this cigar had a very pronounced vein structure. When i removed it from the humidor i looked closely and found that it had an oily bloom! I guess this is a good thing? This cigar was a bit strong for me yet the very

  • Re: Indian Tabac Nonpareil

Yes, I am learning that to be true..i noticed this cigar was constructed a bit ''loose'' for lack of a better description. The filler was not as densly packed and it seemed that it burned quite fast, yet it remained really smooth, tasty and enjoyable without burning too hot. I probably have more robusto style cigars than anything else at ...
