First of all, hello everyone! Newbie here (first post). I'm brand new to this world and I'm looking forward to going down the rabbit hole and can hopefully make some friends along the way!

Got my first humidor for christmas. I wasn't able to actually set it up until this past Monday so I'm still waiting on it to get stabilized.

I've been the occasional cigar smoker over the past few years and have found that I really enjoy the CAO Criollo. What are some cigars that may be similar?

    Thanks

Welcome to the boards. Be careful, or this hobby will take over your life.

I've never had the CAO Criollo before so I can't recommend anything. What was it about the cigar that appealed to you?

Welcome to the forums. Lots of great guys here. You should start trying what you can and try lots of things to see what you enjoy. 5 Vegas is a great line and inexpensive. CAO makes good stuff too. Really depends on what type of cigar you enjoy be it mild, medium, or full. I can't stand many milds especially Macanudo. But I do enjoy the 5 Vegas gold, CAO gold, Oliva Serie O.

Thanks everyone.  I'm still unsure of what I like when it come to full, medium, etc and am still trying to try everything I can.

I also picked up a Sopranos, a Perdomo, an AF, and a Nub the other day.  The Sopranos was excellent.  I really enjoyed it.

Welcome Gdilly. I'm a fan of CAO as well, and my favorite so far is the MX2. If you find you like stronger maduros I'd give that one a shot.
