The flavor was consistant all the way through. However, I did have to relight it more than once when I had not sat it down for more than a minute. I should mention this was not purchased through Ccom. I've not had any problems like this from their sticks! This is one I'd really like to try again and/or hear more feedback on before I draw any final conclusions. But despite having to relight it a couple of times, overall it was very satisfying!

Oliveros in General....

Who among us has tried any of the Oliveros line of cigars. I bought a couple of the 5 pack samplers from the Daily Deal a while back and I've thuroughly enjoyed everything I've smoked so far which includes the El Padrino, XL LTD, XL Double Maduro, XL Double Corojo. Still need to try the XL Bold and I'll have tried each of everthing in the sampler.

Considering the price of these cigars, they just might become a daily enjoyment for me.

I just Finished an Arturo fuente King B....I must say, I have never met a Fuente I didn't like!!! This one had an excellent pre-light draw with some faint hints of leather and cedar. The first third had hints of cedar and oak--very woodsy. the flavor and aroma kept building throughout the second third. Billowy. creamy smoke... This cigar has rested in my humi for about six months. Slightly uneven burn that had to be touched up about halfway thru, very light colored ash that had a solid two inch build before I tipped it off... This beauty had a very long finish. I LOVED IT!!!

Aroma De Cuba New Blend Monarch Cigar Review Video

This 6×52 stick offered a very smooth satin medium chocolate wrapper with a nice aroma of dusty cocoa. Draw started out very firm but gradually went down to a very nice amount of resistance as the stick burned. Total burn time to the nub was 1:30, holding the ash between 3/4″ and 1 1/2″ with an almost razor sharp line. Flavors in the first two thirds were very consistent, giving a light creamy leather flavor with a long finish. Pepper and spice built up on the finish giving a zing on the tongue and a heat on the lips. The last third showed the leather to fade out replaced by a smooth tobacco, and the pepper going way down to just barely there. The spice was completely gone by the band point.

Shown are the characteristics and differences between the new Cigar Spike, a punch cutter built in to one of my lighters I got from Buylighters.com, a traditional straight cut by a Cuban Crafters Perfect Cutter, and on a torpedo a straight vs. angled cut by a Xikar. It had a couple minor burn issues needing touch-up, but was ok other than that. Draw was on the firm side and flavors were very simple and consistent. On the draw you get a grassy hay followed by tobacco flavors ending in a short clean finish. The last 3rd saw a bit of a nutty flavor that I attribute to the heat buildup from the frequent puffs. It lasted 1 hour to the band point. More in the video! http://cigarobsession.com/2009/07/10/gurkha-ms-robusto/

Cigar was smooth and primarily nutty. However, it burned pretty fast (finished in just under an hour). It was in my humidor for 10 weeks. I definitely wouldn't pay the full $25 for it. This 6x52 stick offered a medium brown satin wrapper with a fairly firm construction and triple cap. Flavors started out as a medium bodied pepper powerhouse with near full strength, with transitions of a light creamy leather, slight sweetness and cocoa for a very brief point. The 2nd half lost most of the pepper kick, retaining just a general tobacco and pepper taste on the short clean finish. The draw flavors of the last half were more muted, with the leather fading out to just a tobacco taste and the strength went down a notch better matching the body. Burn was very good all the way down, the ash holding on to 1 1/2" each time. The draw was on the firm side, producing a good amount of smoke.

It's a really inexpensive smoke that's good to hand out to moochers. While the maduro isn't a great cigar, it's a decent knock around smoke. The wrappers are splotchy and they look like hell but they all have a good draw with an even burn. The flavor profile isn't the greatest but you do get hints of dark cocoa and a deep tobacco flavor. Haven't tried the habano yet but I hear it's similar to a Sol Cubano Cuban Cabinet. When you're a smoker on a budget and your wife hates cigars you have to do what you have to do. It's not a Cohiba XV but it's decent.

Old Henry Maduro Robusto Cigar Review Video

This 5×50 stick offered a dark chocolate, VERY thick and toothy wrapper with excellent construction. Burn was almost razor sharp all the way down, with the ash holding to the 1/2 way point and a perfect draw. Flavors in the first half were of a medium bodied light leather and smooth earth, with a bit of sweetness and a pepper & spice kick. The 2nd half transitioned to a deep earth and bit of licorice, losing the sweetness and pepper zing. The finish grew longer and the body went down to a mild-medium. Thank you to Shuckins for trading me for this stick!

This 6×60 stick offered a very dark, firm satin wrapper with a lot of texture like shrink wrap. Medium bodied overall, flavors were typical of a maduro stick at most points with the addition of being extra smooth and light. Creamy sweet leather came through for the first half, followed by a mild pepper wash on the finish. A dry cocoa replaced the leather on the second half, kicking up the pepper slightly and holding the body flavors on the finish longer.

Gurkha’s Triple Ligero...... would not trade my liver for a box, but would consider doing some pretty crazy things on a dare for a box !
Smooth ligero that gives one the felling that "all is well with the world"

I just lit up the 1961 I picked up at a local event, and holy crap... I am very glad I have a few more, and really sad that I didnt pick up a full box at the insane discount I could have had one for.

This is probably one of the best sticks ive ever had.

I just know I love it, cant give info on hints of this or that... lol.

This stick, about 4 1/2″ long and 60 or so around in the widest section, proved to be a novelty item. I didn’t know what to expect from it, simply because it was obviously a novelty cigar. On one had it might just be produced for fun and appearances, on the other – it is just a regular cigar with an odd shape and strips of darker leaf here and there. Unfortunately the construction proved to be very poor, with a weird burn at times, and offering little or no smoke until you got well over 1″ in to it. Flavors were very, very mild to mild, with just extremely bitter grass tastes and a bitter lingering finish. At the 1/2 way point the whole stick turned to soggy mush and got hot at which point I punted it. This $30 stick is good for appearances only.
