Arturo Fuente Seleccion d'Oro features a shade grown Connecticut wrapper similar to that found on the Chateau sizes in the regular line. Available only in select Fuente sizes, these cigars are not always readily available.
As the most popular boutique cigar maker, the Fuentes have a legendary reputation in the cigar industry for making some of the best Dominican cigars available. The Fuente legacy dates back to Cuba at the end of the 19th Century where Arturo Fuente was one of Cuba's foremost premium cigar makers. In 1912 he set out to make a brand under his own name that is currently overseen by his son Carlos and grandson Carlos Jr. The Seleccion d'Oro is very unique, bringing a mix of wood and nut flavors to the palate with a short and concise finish. The original medium bodied Fuente line uses a robust Cameroon or broadleaf maduro wrapper. The delicate shade grown wrapper used on the Seleccion d'Oro makes for a more mild smoke that is easier on the palate than the regular line. |
