San Lotano cigars add another delicious blend to their ever-growing portfolio of award-winning cigars.
When someone mentions San Lotano cigars, you immediately think of the great AJ Fernandez. San Lotano The Bull comes from AJ's factory in Esteli, Nicaragua. Much like other cigar brands, San Lotano was born in Cuba. Originally crafted by AJ’s grandfather, the brand experienced the usual hardships of Cuba and unfortunately had to stop production. Once AJ had established himself with brands like Man O’War, Diesel, and the original lineup of San Lotano, he decided to devote his time to reviving the once storied brand.
San Lotano The Bull proves yet again the unparalleled blending talents possessed by AJ Fernandez. While the San Lotano line is still relatively new, the catalog of blends has been so well-received it feels like AJ has been making these for decades. So The Bull comes storming in, adding a Sumatra-wrapped blend to the brand. The Nicaraguan fillers offer you the typical strength the robust tobacco is known for with notes of oak and espresso. And while Nicaraguan fillers and Ecuadorian Sumatra wrappers may seem rather pedestrian to the average enthusiast, The Bull earns its stripes with the quality of its tobaccos and the balance of extensive aging. After one puff, you’ll know you’ve found something truly special...
Initial light is as expected with all of A.J.'s products, great. Right from the start, this stick has flavor and is surprisingly smooth. I love this stick as I did the Oval when it first came out. It does gain some intensity as you work through the first third, but it never got bitey or over the top. I would consider this a medium to medium full body smoke with plenty of flavor and volume of smoke. I will definitely keep these in stock for frequent smokes. I find myself drawn more and more to A.J. Fernandez lines of cigars, they know how to put them together, both in blending and physical construction. Very consistent smokes.
